Former Officer, Ed Mazurek died September 14th.

Edward Thomas Mazurek, age 71, departed this earthly

realm on September 14, 2009. His quick wit, good

natured smile and willingness to lend a hand will be

missed by all who knew him.


Ed was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 6, 1938,

where he graduated from Jefferson High School. He

chose a life of public service, first as a San Antonio

Police officer, then Detective and Investigator and

finally with his retirement as the Special Agent in

charge of the Lubbock office of the Drug Enforcement

Administration in 1989.


Since then he has been a resident of Midlothian Texas

for over 20 years. Ed is survived by his wife of 51

years, Saundra, his mother, Dorothy Thies and his

brother, Randall Mazurek and wife, Kathy; his son,

Duke Mazurek and grandsons, Edward III and

Jeremiah.


He will be forever missed by all of his friends and

family. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m.

on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Midlothian

Funeral Home. Arrangements By:
