Windfall Elimination Provision Act can Affect Your Retirement Benefits

A Retiree recently read a CoffeeCops post titled:

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEDICARE

and sent CoffeeCops a note indicating that he had been adversely affected by
the provisions of the Windfall Elimination Provision Act.
This Law addresses individuals whose salary does not
include deductions for Social Secuity, (such as SAPD).

The retiree wished that this provision had been explained
to him at any of 4 pre-retirement seminars that he attended
before his retirement. Since he was not aware of this
provision, he was not able to plan ahead to receive his
full expected Social Security benefits.

Retiree Armando Ynostrosa is sharing a link to some old photos
of the SAPD back in the day.

Armando says; "Check out who is fingerprinting the kids. Leonard Randow,
Ben Hart, and Leroy Britch with the dogs. I don't know who that
tall thin young fella with the dog is.This is fantastic, a trip down
memory lane. Shaking hands with Jackie and Kennedy,
Pete Snyder, Jerry Newman and Arthur Rogers. (All gone) If you
recognize any of these really old figures, let me know. I don't
know who that was on that old solid color 3 wheeler.

Comments on National Health Care plan

Retiree Michael McInnis has some serious concerns about
the health care benefits (or lack thereof) of the
proposed national health care plans taking place in Congress.
