Wife of well-known retiree passes away


Virginia Winn Davenport, born April 8, 1928 in Burlington, Kansas, entered into rest on April 3, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 80. Virginia moved to Texas in 1952 from Lyons, Kansas.

Mrs. Davenport was an accomplished Violinist and also a Forensic Handwriting Expert, testifying in many FBI cases. Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Aubrey M. Davenport; parents, Waldo J. and Hazel D. Winn; brothers, Kermit, Quintin, Jackie and infant brother Truman. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Patti) Hall and Diana (Dee) Syamken and husband George; grandchildren, Milton, Michael, Kimberly, Diane, Jeffrey, Mark and Terry; and 12 great grandchildren; also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.

The Family extends a special Thank You to Dr. Kenneth Cioli and Staff, Odyssey Hospice Homecare and Odyssey Hospice House. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Defense League.

SERVICES
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Chapel Service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
