Abel B. Hernandez was born on November
01, 1927 in San Antonio, TX to Gilbert and
Georgette Becu Hernandez and entered into
eternal rest on August 24, 2009 at the
age of 81.
Mr. Hernandez retired as a detective from the San
Antonio Police Department after 32 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Inez and Gloria;
and brother, Jesse. He is survived by his children, Sally
Aguillen (Gabriel), Abel Charles (Margie), Daniel G.
Hernandez, and Gigi Berton (Eddie); grandchildren,
Cynthia, Michael, Amanda, Gregory, and Nikki;
9 great-grandchildren and 1 angel; sisters, Rose Marie
Dunbar and Georgette Becu; mother of his children,
Eloise C. Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews,
and other relatives.
A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday,
August 27, 2009 at Roy Akers-Zizik Kearns Funeral
Chapels and a Rosary will be recited that same evening
at 7:00 p.m.
God Bless you, Able. You have done your job well. Now you are with the Angels and our Lord Jesus. Rest in peace my friend.
