In Memory of Johnny Sanders 1933-2009

Dad had so many friends I can't even begin to call each and every one of you, so I'm sending this email to everyone in his address book.

If you weren't aware, Johnny was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in late 2007, he made his transition to his "next adventure" as he would say on March 2, 2009 at 4:18pm. He was in hospice care and one of his aids was with him at the time. She even told me he had a little smile on his face when he left us...I'm sure it was because he was finally able to be with Myrna again.

He didn't want a service or a memorial, he wanted people to remember him as they last saw him and enjoyed his many stories and adventures. If you'd like to do something to honor him, please make a donation to the Dallas Ecological Foundation - Project Conservation, in his memory.
