Wife of retiree Wilton Shaw (dec.) and mother of retiree Tom Shaw will be laid to rest.


Anne Andry Shaw, born February 29, 1916,
went to be with the Lord and her first-born
son on Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

Anne (Anna) was born in San Antonio, Texas
and was preceded in death by her husband,
Lt. Wilton Shaw, SAPD; parents,
Nehman Moses Andry and Afife Ellihiam Andry;
brothers, Peter Andry, Paul Andry, John Andry,
Albert Andry and Joseph Andry; sister,
Mary Andry Broussard.

She is also preceded in death by her son, Edmonde Andry
Shaw; granddaughters, Carolyn Ann Shaw and Andry
Michelle Wood.

Anna married Wilton Shaw on June 13, 1939. She was one
of the organizers and first President of the San Antonio
Police Wives Auxiliary, and was a founder and charter
member of the St. Paul-St. Ann's Maternity Guild.
She was also a lifelong member of St. George Maronite
Catholic Church. Anna retired from Joske's Diamond Salon
and Gurinsky's Fine Jewelry when she was 82 years old.

Anna is survived by sons, Wilton Shaw Jr. (Sylvia),
Tom J. Shaw [SAPD Ret.]; daughter, Margaret Shaw
Peletier; sisters, Margaret Andry Karam and Adele Andry
Stover (Gene).

She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great
grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews and friends. Our Mother was made from love,
and she spread that love throughout her family, the
main focus in her life. Our hearts are with her, and we
know she is praying for us. Mom, we love you and will
forever miss you.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Incarnate
Word Retirement Center, especially Mary Hardaway and
her nursing staff, the staff at Regent Care Blanco and to
Odyssey Hospice Healthcare.
